Position Summary
We are seeking a Manager, Marketing Operations to build and run the systems,
processes, and planning infrastructure behind our oncology marketing organization.
This person will own the enterprise marketing technology stack, manage the project
management system, and lead the annual and quarterly oncology marketing planning
cycle. You will be the connective tissue between brand teams, agencies,
medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) reviewers, and finance, making sure work moves
efficiently, compliantly, and with visibility.ย And lead a team of three individuals.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Marketing Technology
๏ท Administer and optimize the marketing tech stack, including platforms such as
Veeva Vault PromoMats, Veeva CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe
Experience Manager, or equivalent.
๏ท Partner with IT, Compliance, and Privacy to evaluate, implement, and integrate
new tools; manage vendor relationships, licensing, and renewals.
๏ท Define and enforce data governance, taxonomy, and metadata standards across
systems.
๏ท Manage user access, training, documentation, and adoption, and troubleshoot
escalations.
๏ท Maintain integrations between systems (e.g., CRM, DAM, MLR workflow,
analytics) to support a connected customer view.
Project and Workflow Management
๏ท Own the marketing project management platform (e.g., Workfront, Asana,
Smartsheet, Monday.com): configuration, templates, intake forms, dashboards,
and reporting.
๏ท Design and maintain standardized workflows for content development, agency
briefing, MLR review, and promotional material approval.
๏ท Track project timelines, resource capacity, and dependencies; flag risks and
bottlenecks early.
๏ท Establish KPIs for cycle time, on-time delivery, and review rounds, and report on
them regularly.
๏ท Drive continuous process improvement and change management across brand
and agency teams.
Oncology Marketing Planning
๏ท Lead the annual brand planning calendar and quarterly business reviews for
oncology portfolio brands across tumor types and lines of therapy.
๏ท Build integrated marketing plans that align HCP, patient, and advocacy tactics
with launch timelines, clinical data readouts, and key congresses (ASCO, ESMO,
ASH, SABCS, etc.).
๏ท Manage marketing budgets, forecasts, PO tracking, and agency spend in
partnership with Finance.
๏ท Consolidate cross-brand plans into a single view to reduce overlap and optimize
investment.
๏ท Support launch readiness planning, including cross-functional timelines with
Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, and Patient Advocacy.
Compliance and Governance
๏ท Ensure marketing processes align with FDA/OPDP regulations, PhRMA Code,
and internal SOPs.
๏ท Maintain audit-ready documentation and partner with Legal and Regulatory on
process updates.
Analytics and Reporting
๏ท Build dashboards that give leadership visibility into campaign performance,
spend, project status, and system usage.
๏ท Translate data into actionable recommendations for brand teams.
Qualifications - Required
๏ท Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
๏ท 5+ years of marketing operations, brand operations, or project management
experience in pharma, biotech, or healthcare.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
