Job Description
As our Brand Strategy Director, youโll partner closely with our VP of Brand and Creative to shape the long-term brand strategy that drives growth, awareness, and loyalty. Youโll craft positioning that differentiates our products and services, inform partnerships and new platforms, and make sure our brand story stays consistent across teams and initiatives. Consumer research will play a supporting role, grounding your strategy in a clear understanding of who our members are and what they need.
Scope of Support
Brand Strategy and Positioning
- Partner with the VP of Brand and Creative to develop long-term brand strategy focused on growth, awareness, and loyalty
- Craft brand strategy that differentiates our products and services and tells a compelling story in a competitive landscape
- Inform brand direction for partnerships and new platforms
- Drive cohesion of brand positioning across initiatives, partnerships, and cross-functional teams
Consumer Understanding
- Translate consumer research into insights that serve as the foundation for positioning and messaging
- Identify high-value audience segments and help size the opportunity
- Stay on top of consumer, marketplace, and competitive trends and bring them back to the team
Cross-Functional Partnership and Measurement
- Collaborate with marketing, business, and product stakeholders to identify key strategic questions
- Support brand campaign measurement through brand studies, working with agency partners to share learnings across the organization
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience driving strategic brand work in a management consultancy, agency, or the brand organization of a well-loved consumer brand
- A strong point of view on what makes a brand distinctive and salient
- Ability to quickly grasp complex business models, product roadmaps, and shifting market dynamics
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative research to inform strategic recommendations
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, particularly in customer segmentation
- Excellent communicator who can make complex concepts clear for different audiences
- Proven cross-functional relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
This is a W2 role.
