The Product Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of ConnectWise platforms, from gathering requirements, designing technical and functional specifications, managing the product backlog, and coordinating development efforts through to implementation and subsequent support. This role works in partnership with cross functional teams to coordinate and enhance development efforts, aid partners in product navigation, and find effective solutions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
โข Provides support to the Product Management team, with a high attention to detail
โข Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
โข May coach, review, and/or delegate work to other team members
โข Defines and drives the business plan, strategy, and positioning of the products to align to corporate growth strategy
โข Collaborates to discover solutions to identified problems, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out the value of your solution in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
โข Proactively identifies market opportunities and performs analysis to understand the competitive landscape, trends, and emerging opportunities
โข Interacts with customers and prospects to define market requirements and communicates the needs to the development team
โข Monitors product performance to evaluate adoption rates, user experience, and production issues
โข Prioritizes the product backlog in conjunction with overall business and partner needs
โข Represents ConnectWise in all partner engagements, events, conferences, and other venues
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
โข Ability to manage large projects and processes independently with limited supervision
โข Recognized subject matter expert of applicable work area
โข Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business and partner requirements
โข Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical partners
โข Ability to work in rapid pace environment with multiple projects, while maintaining high quality work
โข Demonstrated commitment to partner and team-oriented management
โข Familiarity with software development, database, server/client, and similar technical concepts
โข Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product management
โข Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple priorities simultaneously
โข Knowledge of MSDP industry
โข Preferred: Knowledge of Agile Methodology, software development life cycle, and Atlassian Product Suite
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
โข Bachelorโs degree in related field or related business experience
โข 5+ years relevant experience
โข Preferred: Experience in ConnectWise PSA application
Working Conditions:
โข On-site/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
โข 0-10% travel may be required
